Sagittarius Full Moon 2025
Fiery Full Moon
The Sagittarius full Moon occurs at 20°39’ on Wednesday, June 11 at 2:43 am CST. This full Moon forms a grand Fire trine with Mars in Leo at 26° and Chiron in Aries at 26°. Hot just like an oven, there could be a wonderful opportunity here for some sexual healing at this full Moon, if we borrow a page from Marvin Gaye’s songbook.
With Venus fully in Taurus at the time of this full Moon, feel free to invoke Aphrodite Pandemos in all of her Goddess of Sensual Pleasures glory during this Sagittarius full Moon. With Venus sextile Mercury in Cancer at the time of the full Moon, we could also take a page from Poison’s songbook and try some talking dirty - at the drive-in, down the basement, or behind the bushes. Perhaps whispering sweet nothings would be more Mercury in Cancer’s style? In that case, channel your inner Diana Ross. Venus is also square to Pluto in Aquarius, so maybe that dirty talk behind the bushes would be appropriate. Whatever way you feel most able to communicate those sensual feelings, I say go for it.
If sensual pleasures aren’t on your agenda, another way to harness this full Moon energy and still honor Aphrodite Pandemos would be to utilize the catalyzing and confident action of the grand Fire trine to achieve the seemingly impossible, and work towards uniting folks through pleasant yet deep conversations into one social or political body. Perhaps host an extended family supper?
This energy may dovetail nicely with the Jupiter in Cancer applying square to Saturn in Aries at 1°18’ - exact on Sunday, June 15 at 9:36 am CST, shortly after this Full Moon. This is the opening square of the Jupiter-Saturn conjunction that occurred on Winter Solstice 2020 at 0° Aquarius, which highlighted Aquarian themes of equality, fairness, and social conscience, and started a 200 year cycle of Jupiter-Saturn conjunctions in Air signs, which will turn our collective rudder toward Air principles such as communication, relationship, and civilization. With the opening square indicating a time of “crisis in action” that Rudhyar says requires definite acts of self-assertion sufficient to break away from obsolete past conditioning, perhaps this is a good time to gather the extended family and critically review wtf actually happened to us all since 2020. I’m leaning towards the sexual healing opportunity, but hey, you do you.
As always, the full Moon is an excellent time to release what no longer serves us. In yoga philosophy, one of the eight limbs of yoga are the Niyamas. The Niyamas are virtues or individual disciplines which calm the disturbed mind. One of these five Niyamas is known as Isvara Pranidhana, or “surrender to the Divine of all our actions”. In surrendering, we allow for the Divine to work its own magic, co-creating with us.
