Cancer New Moon 2025
The Cancer New Moon 2025 happens on Wednesday, June 25, at 5:31 am CST. Much of the energy that was present during the Summer Solstice remains, as the Cosmos hasn’t moved much in five days. The yods remain, the squares remain, and the overall energy of clashing instability remains. However, what we do have is the movement of the Moon, who has moved into rulership in Cancer, conjunct not only the Sun, but Jupiter, which is a lovely energy of gentleness, possibility, and hope for security. As mentioned in the last blog post for the Summer Solstice, now would be a wonderful time to take the reflections from that time and start moving them toward some type of form or intention. Hopefully you were able to take some moments of reflection for yourself at the time of the Summer Solstice, and practice “being” rather than “doing”, and especially I hope you gave yourself the opportunity to immerse yourself in the oceanic realms of the imagination, which is what I like to think of as the Womb of the Great Mother, where all life begins to take form. But, remember, it is up to each one of us to do the work to birth this new emerging form into matter, and luckily we have this beautiful, supportive Cancer New Moon giving us the perfect opportunity to do so. As a refresher, the repeating themes that we sussed out of the Summer Solstice chart that may be worthy of reflection were as follows:
accepting the inevitable discomfort that accompanies growth and becoming
finding stability and security in new forms and in self
keeping an open mind and rolling with the not knowing of what the new form that seems to be emerging in our selves and in society will be
dynamic, courageous action toward living our own lives
All this while cultivating new and dynamic ways to self-soothe during the uncertainty of Becoming, on an individual level and on a societal level.
Using the house placement in which the New Moon occurs is so useful for setting intentions and manifesting ideas into form, as it not only helps to organize our thoughts, but if utilized throughout the year, touches on each area of life that the houses represent, helping us to become more well-rounded individuals. Also, it allows for Divine co-creation, as it often magically lines up with what is already wanting to come forth in that specific area of life in which the New Moon occurs.
